ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION

The International Beauty Industry Association (IBIA) provides independent expert assessment, qualification verification, and professional status assignment in the beauty industry.

The decision to grant IBIA professional status is made based on an analysis of the experience, achievements, and training level of a specialist or organization.
Accreditation results are recorded in the IBIA International Register and serve as official confirmation of professional status within the international community.

  • To obtain membership, a specialist submits an application and provides professional information: a resume, portfolio, and professional background.The review process is conducted online, allowing applications from specialists across different countries to be accepted and ensuring a consistent assessment approach.
    Based on the submitted materials, the specialist's level is assessed within the IBIA system.The assessment format may include a work analysis, an interview, or a practical assignment.Following the review, the IBIA panel makes a decision on whether to grant membership.

  • IBIA reserves the right to refuse membership if established professional criteria are not met.
    Grounds for refusal may include:     • insufficient professional training     • work quality not meeting stated standards     • lack of proven experience or professional achievements     • provision of incomplete or inaccurate information     • failure of professional activity to meet industry standards

  • Membership applications are processed without advance payment.The registration fee is payable after a decision on membership is made.The fee amount depends on the membership level.

  • IBIA accreditation is granted only to professionals with confirmed IBIA membership.
    The manager, owner, or lead specialist of an educational project must meet the established qualification level.
    Before applying for accreditation, you must complete the membership process and confirm your professional level.

  • Upon membership, a specialist receives a basic IBIA confirmation package:     • an electronic certificate     • a personalized electronic banner and social media posting     • an electronic badge     • publication on the official IBIA Professional Register
    Additional documents and forms of confirmation are provided individually depending on the specialist's membership level and professional achievements.
    These may include:     • a personalized IBIA diploma (on metal)     • an IBIA award medal     • a glass award     • an IBIA letter of recommendation

  • The application review period is from 5 to 15 days from the date of submission of a complete set of documents.

  • No.Participation in WBC championships, IBA awards, or training at the IBJA Judges Academy does not automatically qualify for IBIA membership.
    IBIA membership is a separate process and is granted based on a professional selection process, taking into account the specialist's experience, level of training, and achievements.
